The historic buildings housing our nation’s treasured artworks, cultural heritage, and religious icons are sometimes the least able to sustain the costs of preservation and maintenance, and therefore can be exposed to the most serious deterioration. As treasured landmarks, these structures often exhibit exceptional old methods of craftsmanship that, without proper attention, could be lost to decay. M&A is especially proud to have been a part of preserving these important structures, from executing multi-million-dollar renovations in the nation’s capital to saving historic bell wheels and windows in New England churches, and museum-level conservation of our most precious landmarks. When funding sources are limited, we are able to make decisions to concentrate our work in areas of greatest need, and to work with the design team to point out construction efficiencies in defining the scope of repairs.
